Dr. Daniel Axelrod, MD. received his B.A. from Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts. He graduated with honors from the University of Antwerp School of Medicine, Belgium. He further trained at New York Medical College and completed both his internship and residency at Long Island College Hospital (an affiliate of the State University of New York Downstate Medical School), Brooklyn, New York.
After his residency, Dr. Axelrod practiced general Internal Medicine in Elmira, New York. After several years of harsh upstate New York winters, his wife convinced him to move to the sunny state of Florida. Upon his arrival in July, 1998, Dr. Axelrod joined Internal Medicine Associates.
Dr. Axelrod is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine(diplomate). He is a member of both the American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Axelrod completed his recertification in Internal Medicine in May 2002.
