Dr. Michael Stens was born and raised in New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida where he graduated with high honors. He studied medicine at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top ten of his class. He went on to complete his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Florida. Dr.Stens was elected Chief Internal Medicine Resident during his final year of residency. He also worked as an instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support for the American Heart Association. Dr. Stens is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, Lee County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He and his wife Andrea have three daughters, Emily, Danielle and Julianne. Dr. Stens has been in private practice in Fort Myers since 2003 and is currently accepting new patients.
