Dr. Lutarewych received his undergraduate degree cum laude at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He attended medical school at the Univerity of Minnesota where he graduated with honors. He then moved to Chicago and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A recipient of an Air Force scholarship, he served as an internist at Second Medical Group, Barksdales Air Force Base, Shreveport, Louisiana. He was an Infectious Disease Fellow at the University of Minnesota. As a Fellow, he received the NFID- Astra Postdoctoral Fellowship in Infectious Disease Training in Herpes Virus Research in cytomegalovirus infections. He joined IMA in 1996 and is the Hospital Epidemiologist at Southwest Regional Center.
