Dr. Donald McAlpine joined IMA in 1995 after completing his Internship and Residency at Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA (University of Pennsylvania), in Internal Medicine. He then went on to sub-specialize in Pulmonary Diseases, completing his Fellowship through the University of Pennsylvania.
He is originally from Hamilton Ontario, Canada. He has lived in California where he attended Chapman College in Orange, California. He began his medical education at Autonomous University in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he received his MD Degree in 1984. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Thoracic Society.
