After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Duke University in 1992, Dr. Scott Fields went on to State University of New York in Buffalo where he earned his Master of Science Degree, summa cum laude in 1994. He received his M.D. Degree at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse School of Medicine in 1999, and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY.
Dr. Fields began serving his local community in 1988 as a voluntary Emergency Ambulance Dispatcher in Rochester, NY, and in 1999, he began assisting area health care professionals with medical care for the uninsured at the Physicans Free Clinic in Great Neck, NY. He also donated his time to John Umstead Hospital, counseling patients in the Adolescent Psychiatric Ward in Durham, N.C. Dr. Fields has been published on the subjects of: "Cardiovascular Disease-Hypertension in Chronic Dialysis Patients", and was a Research Associate on the Induction of PAI-1, repression of Urokinase via exogenous applications of TGF-beta to cervical cancer cells at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Fields is a member of the American Medical Association and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is currently accepting new patients at our Cape Coral office location.
