Dr. Xiomara Morillo was born and raised in Venezuela. She attended Medical School at the University of Zulia in Maracaibo,Venezuela. Before coming to the United States, she completed a residency program in Internal Medicine. Dr. Morillo served both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois where she was Chief Resident in 1993. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. In 1994, she started practicing Internal Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Morillo moved to Deland, Florida where she had her own practice for 9 years with special interest in diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention. Dr. Morillo is Fluent in both English and Spanish. She is married to Miguel Azcuy and has three sons.
