Silvia Velasquez, M.D.

Dr. Silvia Velasquez was born in Lima, Peru, where she attended the Doctor of Medicine Program at Cayetano Heredia University Faculty of Medicine, in Lima, Peru, and earned her M.D. Degree in 1995.

 

Subsequently Dr. Velasquez completed her Internship and Residency at the Department of Internal Medicine, Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, Michigan in 1999.  She went on to attain her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan in 2001.  She stayed in Michigan where she was Associate Staff Physician at Detroit Receiving Hospital and St. John Riverview Hospital until 2005, when she became a Staff Physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in Rochester Hills, Michigan.  She also served as Infectious Disease Consultant at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, Michigan, at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and at William Beaumont in Troy, Michigan, until she relocated to sunny Southwest Florida where she joined IMA's Multi-Specialty Practice.
